March Check-In
In March, I read daily the following according to God's establishment commandment:
- Romans through Revelation twice per week
- 1 Chronicles through Acts
- Genesis through 2 Kings
In addition, I listened to the new Romans TSABS lessons seven and eight, and 2 John thru Revelation Six in the old school.
Today I would like to discuss the simple word "BOTH." I think that most would consider it to imply two. Noah Webster, in fact, defines it as:
BOTH, adjective Two as considered distinct from others or by themselves; the one and the other.
However, the Bible, being all authority, will dictate how the word is and should be defined. Let us look at two passages of scripture:
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both
minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed
sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;
and,
Those things, which ye have both learned, and
received, and heard, and seen in me, do:
Obviously, in each case the word, BOTH, refers to more than two.
This is just one of the many examples where the Bible itself is its own dictionary.
What a Book! Thank you, Father! Amen!
