April Check-In

In April, I read daily the following according to God's establishment commandment:

  • Romans through Revelation twice per week
  • 1 Chronicles through Acts
  • Genesis through 2 Kings
In addition, I listened to the new Romans TSABS lessons nine and ten, and Revelation Seven in the old school.

Let us look at wicked Caiaphas, the high priest who prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation.

This is that same Caiaphas who later asked Jesus when he was led away to him, and the chief priests and the elders and the scribes, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am, was so blind that he wickedly accused our Lord of blasphemy, and condemned him to be guilty of death.

This Caiaphas continued to treasurest up unto himself wrath against the day of wrath. Consider that when accusing Jesus of blasphemy, he sinned by renting his clothes. In Leviticus 21:10 we read:

And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes.

This he did right after Jesus proclaimed that he is the Christ, the Son of the Blessed.  Wicked indeed!

Father, I thank thee for the privilege of being able to read your Book, especially according to thy establishment commandment.  Amen!
