July Check-In

I give thanks daily to God my Father for:

  • The Lord Jesus Christ and what he accomplished for me at Calvary.
  • The word of God which effectually worketh in me.
  • The fellowship that I have with him, and with his son Jesus Christ.
  • The fellowship that I have with my family (The Church of the Living God), and for a pastor who teaches the scriptures aright.
  • The privilege of being able to read the holy scriptures daily.
  • His establishment commandment
  • The Holy Ghost and to all riches of the full assurance of understanding.
  • All things that he has provided me in the earthly: food, clothing, shelter, my wife, my work, my heath.
Again, I will be working full-time this upcoming school year starting August 14th. A lot of unforeseen time was required to complete all the necessary paperwork and background checks (including letter of interest, resume, transcripts, fingerprints, etc.). In addition, Bobbye and I had to go through much red tape to get properly enrolled into Medicare and Social Security. These are things, quite frankly, I used to have little patience for, and still have no pleasure doing.

In addition, we just had our roof replaced this past week which incurred quite an expense.

However, I applied the doctrine of glorying and being patient in these hardships, and in every thing, giving thanks unto the Lord.

When I start work in a couple of weeks it will be with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men. I will continue to set my affection on things above, not on things on the earth. I will press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. I will continue to fight a good fight.

Love you all!
